The logo can be an image, text, or a combination of both. “Wordmark” (or logo) is a text-only logo, usually the name of a brand or company. Think of the Canon logo – it just indicates Canon in red, but this is a unique font choice that makes it unique. The FedEx logo is another example of a wordmark, with an extra surprise of cleverly inserting small arrows into the design. Then you have a “letter mark”. The letter is an acronym or monogram, which has become a logo. For example, IBM and NASA are companies with abbreviated names, and the abbreviations become logos. Finally, you have a graphic logo or symbol. These are logo designs based on images, such as Apple, Nike, or Target. If necessary, you can also include a combination of words and images in the logo, such as those seen in the Adobe logo or Mastercard. The type of logo is different because different brands have different needs. No matter where you decide to apply the logo, you should consider the type that best conveys your brand.
How to make a logo:
Choose your element: Before you start designing, consider the intent behind the logo. How will it communicate your brand and whom to communicate with? Then, consider the tools to be used. Is your logo in plain text or does it carry some kind of image? If you have an image file to use, upload it to the Spark workspace. Make sure you have locked the spelling of the brand and any other text that may be included on the logo, such as slogans or confirmed dates.
Explore professionally designed logo ideas: On the Spark Post mobile app, just open the app on the homepage to browse the templates! Search for “logo” and read the design carefully, these designs will give you some ideas, even a platform. On the desktop, you can find the template from the workspace by clicking the “Templates” tab. Get inspiration from other designs and make them your own fun.
Use icons, text, and colors to develop designs: Under the “+” option in the Spark workspace on desktop and mobile devices, you can find an option to add images or icons to the design. If you happen to have made graphics in another Adobe application (now brought to Spark), you can upload images from your own photo library or from Creative Cloud. Adjust the size and color of the icons to suit your needs. Try playing with countless different font families to find text styles that can successfully convey the brand’s voice. And don’t forget the color! You can enter a specific hexadecimal value to identify the specific color of the brand in the design.
Create variations of logos: You may notice that companies will use different types of logos. You can use Adobe Spark to copy the design to create this versatility for your brand! Once you find the logo you like, copy the design to create a black and white version, a version with a name and a version without a name, or a version with a slogan. Indulge in the fun of the logo and be creative in its applications that’s the magic.
Save and share your logo: Congratulations, you have determined your logo! When you are ready to share, you can download the logo to upload it to the digital platform. Or, send it digitally to friends or colleagues to get their feedback. Revisit your project at any time to adjust the size or style to suit future logo needs.
